Zoe Scott and bossa nova have a lot in common: Cool sensuality, beachy, laid back vibes, and a passion for pleasure and romance that's missing from most modern life. Shades of Love is Zoe's love letter to Brazil's iconic music, where she turns a new generation on to bossa nova's lush beauty and relaxed sophistication.
ABOUT SHADES OF LOVE
Zoe Scott's bossa nova debut Shades of Love is a surprising departure from her indie-rock roots. To produce the album's softer, more intimate sound, she transformed her voice from fierce to feminine with the help of an expert: Brazilian-born Grammy-winner Moogie Canazio, who had worked with bossa nova legends Joao Gilberto and Antônio Carlos Jobim back in Brazil. With her four faithful renditions of Jobim classics and fresh bossa nova interpretations of The Pretenders, The Beatles, Burt Bacharach, and Amy Winehouse, "Shades of Love" is an invitation to relax, unwind and get lost in a romantic reverie with an infectious Brazilian beat.
"I want to take people on a romantic feel-good journey."
